Michael Dean designs from the sketch stage, working with input from the client, to fabrication and the final steps of setting the gemstones and finishing. He prides himself on his attention to detail and quality for all of his jewellery creations. Canadian diamonds are featured in many of the designs because of their exceptional cut and quality.

In 1996 Carole Baldock joined in the designing and creation of Jewellery for Michael Dean, she specializes in pearl designs and fashion forward silver creations.
"Making a Moment"
I'm a dual purpose jeweller: I make my own rings and set my own diamonds. And I love creating a story that my customers can pass on through generations. I always encourage grooms purchasing engagement rings to "make a moment" of the presentation that is special and treasured. Don't bring your fiancé into the jeweller and deliberate over ring styles. That's not romantic. I tell the grooms that "this isn't about you; it's about her. Figure out a budget, we'll put the diamond in a mount that can be exchanged later, I'll mount it, box it and you buy it. Then you go out and "make a moment" on top of a mountain or a beach sunset and create a romantic experience that will serve the both of you for the rest of your lives."
